Sub-processors

Effective: 2026-09-11Version: 2026-09-05:formation

Knownroute uses a small set of providers to deliver the service. The providers and optional services are listed below; optional services receive data only when configured and enabled.

How we choose providers

We use the fewest providers we need, preferring EU hosting and contracts that forbid using your data for the provider's own purposes. Each operates under a data-processing contract.

Why categories

Providers sit behind swappable interfaces, so we can replace one without changing the product. Names and optional services are listed with their function. Request deployment region and applicable contract details before contracting.

What data each category handles

Hosting and storage handle the data you keep in the service; email handles your address and the content of notifications; AI inference (via OpenRouter) handles the context needed to generate drafts; payments handle billing data.

Safeguards

Where a provider handles data outside the EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We will notify you of material changes to this list with reasonable notice. Questions: privacy@knownroute.com.
