Terms of Service
These Terms are a contract between you and Nimavera, Inc. (in formation) ("we", "us") and govern your use of Knownroute, available at https://knownroute.com. By creating an account, ticking the acceptance box, or using the service, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms and the policies they incorporate by reference (Privacy, Acceptable Use, Cookies, AI Usage Notice, Contact Data Notice, and Refunds). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation. You may not use the service if applicable law prohibits it or if we have previously suspended you.
2. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Give us accurate, current information. Use two-factor authentication where available. Tell us immediately at security@knownroute.com if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not share your account or transfer your credentials.
3. What the service is
Knownroute helps you find roles, prepare evidence-backed application materials (résumés, cover letters, outreach messages), and reach those roles through people in your network who already know you. We draft from the evidence you provide; you review, edit, and approve everything before it leaves your hands.
4. What the service is not — no guarantee of outcomes
Knownroute is an assistive tool, not a placement agency, a recruitment agency, or an employer, and it does not provide career, legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice. We do not guarantee interviews, referrals, introductions, responses, offers, hiring, or any other outcome. We do not promise that any application will succeed. Results depend on you, the job market, and third parties we do not control. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified professional.
5. Human approval and no automatic action
The service does not automatically send emails, messages, applications, or outreach on your behalf. It does not apply to jobs for you or contact anyone without your explicit action. We prepare drafts for you to review and send from your own channels. You keep final control at all times.
6. AI-generated content
The service uses AI models to suggest text. Suggestions may contain errors. You must review all facts, dates, titles, metrics, and wording before using or submitting any material. You are responsible for what you send. You must not submit false information or misrepresent your experience. See the AI Usage Notice.
7. Lawful use of contact data
You may only upload contact data from your own network, and only where you have a lawful basis to process it. You must honour consent signals and the "do not contact" flag. Bulk sending, spam, and any use of Knownroute to harass or to contact people who do not wish to hear from you are prohibited. See the Contact Data Notice.
8. Acceptable use
Your use is also governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Breaking it may lead to rate-limiting, suspension, or closure of your account.
9. Prohibited conduct
- Misrepresenting your identity, experience, or credentials.
- Sending spam, bulk messages, or large-scale unsolicited outreach.
- Scraping third-party sites that forbid it.
- Circumventing security, tenant isolation, or usage limits.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code, except as mandatory law allows.
- Uploading unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful content, or malware.
- Using the service to build a competing product or service.
10. Your content and the licence you grant us
You keep ownership of the content you provide (profile, evidence, contacts, text). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and transmit that content solely to deliver the service and its features (for example, generating AI drafts). This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except as needed for backups and legal obligations.
11. Our intellectual property
The Knownroute software, brand, logo, design, and content are owned by Nimavera or its licensors and are protected by law. You gain no rights in them beyond the limited right to use the service under these Terms.
12. Plans, pricing, and billing
The service offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans bill in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) through our payment provider. Prices are shown on the pricing page and are stated as tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive as indicated. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. We may change prices on reasonable prior notice; changes apply from the next billing period.
Where a plan shows a feature as unlimited — match analyses, résumé variants, cover letters, or outreach drafts — it means there is no fixed monthly allowance for ordinary use by you, the individual account holder, in your own job search. It does not mean unbounded AI compute. Unlimited use stays subject to fair use and to the rate limits and quotas we apply to keep the service running, and it does not cover automated or scripted generation, running one account for several people, or reselling or providing the service to others. If your usage reaches a level that materially affects cost or service quality for other users, we will contact you first where it is reasonable to do so before applying any limit; we may act without notice where the usage is plainly automated or abusive.
13. Trials, cancellation, and refunds
Paid plans bill from purchase; the permanently free plan is how you evaluate the product before paying. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the period already paid for. Full terms are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers (hosting, storage, email, AI inference via OpenRouter, and payments) described in the sub-processor list. We are not responsible for the availability, policies, or content of third-party sites or services you choose to send applications or messages to, or for your relationship with them.
15. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service available, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We may add, change, or remove features. Some features may be offered as beta or experimental, "as is" and without warranty; we may modify or withdraw them at any time.
16. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback about the service, we may use them without restriction or compensation, without affecting your ownership of your own content.
17. Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nimavera disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat, or that AI suggestions will be accurate or complete.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nimavera is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or job opportunities. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, fraud or personal injury caused by negligence) or your mandatory consumer rights.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Nimavera against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, the content you provide, or your misuse of the service — including contacting people without a lawful basis.
20. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law. Where reasonable we will give you notice; for serious abuse or a security risk, action may be immediate. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, warranties, liability, indemnity, governing law) continue to apply.
21. Retention after termination
When you close your account, your data is soft-deleted and then purged after a 30-day grace period, unless we are legally required to retain it. Security audit logs are kept for up to 730 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
22. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware (USA), without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise. We will try to resolve disputes in good faith before resorting to court; contact us first at legal@knownroute.com.
23. Notices and communications
We may communicate with you by email, in-product notices, or by posting on the site. You can reach us at support@knownroute.com (general) or legal@knownroute.com (legal). You agree to receive communications relating to the service and your account.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version with its effective date and, for material changes, notify you and ask for your renewed acceptance before you continue using the service.
25. General
If any provision is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement between you and us. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor or affiliated entity (for example, upon incorporation of Nimavera). We are not liable for delays or failures caused by matters beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). You must comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws.
You accept these terms when you create an account. We'll ask again if they materially change. · legal@knownroute.com
